Looking Ahead to Student Leadership in 2027 💡

Leadership takes many forms at Kenmore State School. Our Year 5 students are beginning to explore the opportunities ahead, drawing on the experiences of our current Year 6 leaders, who shared their highlights, challenges and advice for the next generation of student leaders.

Excellence in Learning:

This morning, our talented Band and Strings students headed to Aviation High to showcase their musical skills at Music Fest!

Each ensemble played three pieces, which were judged and awarded accordingly. We’re proud to share these fantastic results from our three ensembles:

Senior Strings – Gold
Junior Strings – Silver
Junior Band – Silver

Congratulations to all our students and music staff on these wonderful achievements!

Community Connections:

Alongside our German Food Day celebrations in the tuckshop, our students enjoyed a taste of German culture through traditional German dancing!

With music and plenty of enthusiasm, students had a wonderful time learning new moves and joining in the fun. It was fantastic to see everyone embracing the experience and celebrating German culture together! What a great way to spend a rainy day!

With the first Transition Day for our 2027 Prep students beginning on November 5, the excitement is building at Kenmore State School!

We can’t wait to welcome our future Prep students as they begin their journey with us and discover all the wonderful experiences school has to offer.

A friendly reminder to all parents and carers that German Day is coming up on Thursday, 22nd October! 🇩🇪

🎵 Music students attending the excursions: Tuckshop orders will still be delivered before you head off on your excursion, so you won’t miss out on your tuckshop goodies!

🥪 DON’T FORGET TO ORDER ON QKR!
Orders close on Tuesday, 20th October, so make sure you get your orders in on time to avoid missing out!

🌭 VOLUNTEER NEEDED!
We’re still looking for a volunteer to help BBQ the sausages for German Day. If you’re available to lend a hand, we’d love to hear from you! 🙌
