We always have so much fun with these guys - moving, playing, laughing and, of course, sharing lots of Capoeira together. 🥁

Let’s learn a Capoeira song with us!

🎶 TEM DENDÊ 🎶

Dendê is palm oil, an important ingredient in Afro-Brazilian culture and cuisine. But in Capoeira, when we say someone “tem dendê”, it means they’ve got the sauce - rhythm, style, ginga and that special Capoeira energy! ✨

In this song, we call out the name of each person in the circle and sing that they “tem dendê”. 😏

From starting her Capoeira journey in New Zealand, to teaching mainstream classes in Australia, and now helping build Ginga Support Services from the very beginning… every step has led her here.
