In ICT this Term, our Upper Primary students have been learning to code using Lego Spike Prime. Over the last few weeks, we have developed our skills by placing ourselves on the floor of an imaginary factory and coding QA-checker robots to detect faulty products coming off a production line. We then built and programmed dancing robots and pitted them against each other in a high-stakes, robotic dance battle!

To help us learn about narratives and character traits in 1/2 Woods, we watched the classic Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers.
While watching, the children worked together to brainstorm adjectives to describe each of the characters. They shared their ideas, discussed their thinking, and identified evidence from the story to support their choices. It was wonderful to see everyone collaborating and building their understanding of how authors and creators develop memorable characters.
What a fun way to develop our literacy skills while enjoying a much-loved classic!

Students in Kinder Jos have been investigating numbers recently. They are learning through picture books, games, nursery rhymes and songs, counting collections, ordering numbers, recognising numerals and using 10 frames. They have also thought about some different ways to count - forwards, backwards, in 2s, on a number line, with our fingers and through songs. It is great to see the students' mathematical skills develop through their learning process.

This term, 1/2 Tame/Hibberd students have been exploring the wonderful world of sound as part of our Science unit!

We’ve been investigating how sounds are made, exploring vibrations and discovering how sound can travel. Through hands-on experiments and investigations, students have been making predictions, testing their ideas and observing what happens.

It’s been fantastic to see their curiosity and excitement as they discover the science behind the sounds we hear every day! 🥁🎵

This week, Kinder Rogowski have been having lots of fun developing our numeracy skills through hands-on learning experiences. We have been practising counting and number skills using a variety of engaging resources, including board games 🎲.

Board games are also helping us develop important skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, turn-taking and good sportsmanship. We’ve loved learning, playing and working together! 🌟
