Our Design Technologies students have been hard at work bringing their ideas to life! 🌿🔨

As part of their design project, students are constructing prototypes for a proposed new outdoor learning space.

Through creativity, collaboration, problem-solving and hands-on construction, they are exploring how thoughtful design can create engaging and functional environments for learning.

We can't wait to see their innovative ideas take shape!

Our Year 1 students have been working hard during paired fluency reading sessions, building confidence, accuracy, expression and pace as they read together.

Paired reading is a research-based practice that provides students with repeated opportunities to read connected text, receive immediate feedback and develop the fluency skills that are essential for successful reading comprehension.

It has been wonderful to see the growth in our young readers as they become more confident and capable each week. Reading fluently is a crucial step in the journey from learning to read to reading to learn, and our students are making fantastic progress!

What a fantastic day of learning beyond the classroom! 🌟 Year 2 is off on an exciting excursion to the Planetarium, while Year 1 are exploring the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

These experiences provided wonderful opportunities to support our English curriculum through the exploration of informative texts, helping students build their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

A big thank you to Boonah State High School for providing the bus and helping make these valuable learning experiences possible! 🚌📚✨

What started as a lunchtime student engagement activity quickly turned into an impromptu karaoke session! 🎤🎶

At our school, there's always something happening during lunch breaks, with student engagement activities running every day to help students connect, have fun and build a strong sense of community.

From games and challenges to music and unexpected karaoke performances, our students have plenty of opportunities to get involved, make friends and create lasting memories.

We love seeing our students enjoying school life and making the most of every lunchtime! 🌟

🎶 Congratulations to our Concert Band on their outstanding achievement at Fanfare, earning a Silver Award! 🎶

This wonderful result is a reflection of the dedication, commitment and teamwork shown by every student involved. Performing at Fanfare is a fantastic opportunity to showcase musical talent and our band represented our school with pride and professionalism. This was the band's debut performance, with the majority of the members only beginning their instrument mere months ago.

A special thank you goes to Mr Francis for his tireless hard work, passion and commitment to our instrumental music program. Your guidance, encouragement and countless hours of preparation have helped our students achieve this fantastic result.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Boonah RSL for the generous loan of their bus to transport our band members to and from the event. Without their support, attending Fanfare would not have been possible. We greatly appreciate their ongoing commitment to supporting local students and providing opportunities such as this for our young musicians.

We are incredibly proud of what the band has accomplished and are excited to see the ensemble continue to grow, develop and reach new heights in the years ahead. The future is bright and we can't wait to watch these talented musicians continue their musical journey.
