Writing Tuesdays Bribie Island A free, weekly event designed to help you cultivate the habit of writing. Writing Tuesday is a free, volunteer-led program for writers at all levels.

Come write and connect with other writers in your community. We understand that life can get in the way of writing. That is why we have Writing Tuesdays, a chance for you to get those words down on the page. This is a space that will nurture your craft and encourage a routine you can stick to. Inspired by Queensland Writers Centre's successful Writing Friday program, these sessions follow the Pomo

doro Technique of 25-minute blocks of writing, followed by 5-minute blocks. (4 sessions of 25-minutes with a 5-minute break between each.) The idea behind the method is to train the mind into working effectively to reach smaller targets, improving the overall writing time and productivity. We are inviting everyone — members and non-members alike, of any genre or skill — to book your seat and attend a Writing Tuesday program session for free, at the Bribie Island Library.

It has been an amazing year for 2023. With our Christmas dinner behind us, and our Christmas 'bring and share lunch' next week in Caboolture Library, it's hard to believe the year is coming to a close. But planning for 2024 was already done - we have the dates for next year at the ready... below are the dates.

If anyone wants to join us at either the RSL Bribie Island or Caboolture Library to write, chat about writing, and write some more - you are welcome. Have a Merry Christmas and a creative New Year!

Apologies I'm late putting this up... Writing Tuesday returns today at the CABOOLTURE library for a few hours today, but then CABO will be a full day if you can make it after this. Bribie Island sessions have moved to the RSL - dates below to make it easier for you to see... every welcome - bring your computer/notebook and pen and join us in the Pomodoro method as we achieve words for the year!

Fantastic news that Writing Tuesday is now extended till just before Christmas - so join us at the Bribie Island library from 12-3pm every Tuesday till then... bring your computer, your writing pages, your story and sit with other creatives as we achieve words!
