🏕️ Final Day of Year 3/4 Camp at Fairbairn Dam! 🏕️

What an incredible way to finish our camp adventure! Today, students worked together to build catapults before enjoying a friendly battle filled with teamwork, laughter, and fun. 💥🎯

We were also treated to some delicious meals cooked by our amazing parent helper, Kauri. 🍽️✨ We definitely ate in luxury!

Although everyone is feeling tired after three action-packed days, we are heading home with wonderful memories, new friendships, increased confidence, and plenty of stories to share with our families. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make this camp such a special experience. We can't wait to share all of our adventures with our families! 😊🏕️💙

🌟 Day 2 of Year 3/4 Camp was a huge success! 🌟

Today was packed with adventure as students tackled the rock climbing wall 🧗 and canoeing 🚣. It was a busy day full of challenges, teamwork, and fun. Students worked together brilliantly, communicating effectively and supporting one another every step of the way.

There were so many happy, smiling faces throughout the day 😊. We were especially proud to see students showing resilience, stepping outside their comfort zones, and challenging themselves to achieve their own personal goals. 💪✨
Another fantastic day of learning, growth, and making memories! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. 🏕️😊

🏃‍♀️🏅 Athletics Carnival Wrap-Up 🏅🏃‍♂️

Over the past two weeks, students have competed in both track and field events, showing fantastic sportsmanship and perseverance throughout.

Congratulations to Fraser House for taking out the win! 💚 Congratulations also to all of our Age Champions on their achievements. 👏

A huge thank you to Mr Ross for all of his hard work and effort in organising these events for our school community. Well done everyone! 🎉

First day of 3/4 camp was a huge success! 🎉

Students showed fantastic teamwork and practised great communication skills while trying new activities. Camp staff were amazing, supporting students and helping them problem-solve challenges along the way.

Dinner was a big hit 🍽️ and everyone enjoyed a movie before settling in for the night.

We’re all tired after a big day, but excited for what tomorrow will bring! 🌟

Thank you to the CHRC for organising award winning author, Cheryl Leavy to visit and conduct writing workshops with our students. In 2022, Cheryl was awarded the prestigious Oodgeroo Noonuccal Prize for Indigenous Poetry and has since been commissioned by Camerata (Queensland’s chamber orchestra), the Institute of Modern Art and the Queensland Art Gallery. In 2026, Cheryl won the Peter Porter Poetry Prize for her poem “Kumanjayi”. We look forward to welcoming her next Tuesday to work with our Year 3 - Year 6 students.

The 3/4 campers are off to Fairbairn Dam! 🚌🌿

Excitement is in the air as we head off for three days of adventure, teamwork, and new experiences. We can't wait to challenge ourselves, learn new skills, make great memories, and have lots of fun along the way.

We will do our best to provide updates each evening so families can follow along with our camp adventures.

🏕️⛺ CAMP COUNTDOWN! ⛺🏕️

The excitement is building as our students head off to school camp tomorrow! 🎉🌟

Over the next few days, students will have the opportunity to challenge themselves 💪, build new friendships 🤝, develop independence 🌱, and create memories that will last a lifetime 📸✨.

A reminder for families to:
✅ Check that all belongings are packed and clearly named
✅ Ensure medications have been provided to staff if required
✅ Arrive at 7:30am for an 8:00am departure tomorrow morning ⏰🚌

We can't wait to see our students embrace every adventure, learn new skills, and have lots of fun along the way! 😄🔥🌳
