🐬 SWIMMING LESSONS THIS WEEK! 🐬

We’re all systems go this week! 💙💦 Tuesday, Thursday AND Saturday lessons are all running as normal!
💦 Tuesday – Lessons from 3:30pm
💦 Thursday – Lessons from 3:30pm
💦 Saturday – Lessons from 9:00am

Please check the infographic for your child’s lesson time, as we have had a few little changes to our groups. 🐬

If your child is unable to attend their lesson, please send me a quick message so I know they’ll be away.

💙 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! 💙

Wishing a very Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and special men who visit us at the Blackall Aquatic Centre! 🏊‍♂️☀️

We hope your day is filled with plenty of laughs, family time and maybe even a relaxing swim! 💦
And of course, a VERY special Happy Father’s Day to the man who runs the show around here… our boss man, Richard! 😂👑

Whether he’s keeping the pool running, fixing something, lifeguarding, helping out around the Centre or being told what needs doing next 🤣 — we certainly couldn’t do it without him!

🎉💦 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR ONE & ONLY SWIM TEACHER! 💦🎉

Today we’re celebrating the lady who wears just about every hat at the Blackall Aquatic Centre — our Learn to Swim teacher, organiser, problem solver and the familiar face you’ll often find anywhere you go! 🏊‍♀️💙

From teaching our littlest swimmers to become confident in the water, to keeping the patrons fed with hot chips and coffees on Sundays and making sure there’s always something happening for our community, Amy puts so much time, energy and heart into the Aquatic Centre. 🥰

We hope today brings a little less organising, a little more relaxing, and plenty of birthday cake! 🎂🥳

Happy Birthday, Amy! We hope you have an absolutely wonderful day! 💦🩵🎉

🎣🎉 FATHER’S DAY FUN AT THE 4 MILE! 🎉🎣

Looking for something to do this Father’s Day? Head out to the Barcoo Fishing Club’s Father’s Day Fishing Comp for a fantastic day by the river with the whole family!

📅 Sunday 6 September
⏰ 8:00am–4:00pm
📍 The 4 Mile, Blackall

There’ll be plenty happening throughout the day, including 🎣 loads of fishing action, 🎯 family games, 🎟️ a MASSIVE Multi-Draw, plus plenty of food and refreshments to keep everyone going!

And while you’re there, make sure you support our Blackall State School students and their fundraising efforts! 💙💛

🍩 YEAR 12 FORMAL FUNDRAISER
Our Year 12 students will be serving up HOT, FRESH CINNAMON DONUTS from 8:00am until sold out!
💲 $3 each
💲 4 for $10
All funds raised will go towards their Year 12 Formal.

🥤 YEAR 5/6/7 CANBERRA 2027 FUNDRAISER
Cool down with an icy SLUSHIE for $5! Available from 8:00am until sold out, with funds raised supporting the students on their 2027 Canberra Trip.

So grab Dad, pack up the family and head out to the 4 Mile for a great Father’s Day supporting the Barcoo Fishing Club, Blackall State School students and our local community! 🎣🍩🥤💙

Fishing + family fun + donuts + slushies = a pretty great Father’s Day! 🙌

💦 Amy’s Learn to Swim – Tuesday & Saturday this week, with no lessons Thursday.
💃 Aqua Aerobics – Four sessions across the week to keep you moving in our heated pool.
☕ Grazing 7 Lane Café – Grab a coffee, something sweet or a bite to eat while you’re here.

🏊 Public swimming, lap swimming and family fun available throughout our winter opening hours.

🧜‍♀️✨ WHAT A MAGICAL DAY AT THE BLACKALL AQUATIC CENTRE! ✨🧜‍♀️

We hope everyone who came along today enjoyed meeting the beautiful Crystal the Mermaid! 💕 It was absolutely lovely seeing the kiddies’ faces light up as Crystal brought a little bit of mermaid magic to Blackall. 🫧🌈

Summer and I were even lucky enough to catch up with Crystal after swimming lessons and grab a few photos! 🧜‍♀️📸

And the good news is… THE MAGIC ISN’T OVER YET! 🎉

💃🎪 BUSH BEATZ BLACKALL CIRCUS EXTRAVAGANZA – (Tomorrow) THIS SUNDAY! 🎪💃

What better way to finish off an incredible week of circus fun than with a night celebrating some of our very own local talent! 🌟

The Blackall Bush Beatz dancers are ready to take to the stage for their spectacular Circus Extravaganza, and we’d love to see the community come along and support them! ❤️
