NSW SES Bayside Unit.

06/07/2026

This morning, Bayside and Ku-ring-Gai units provided drones and operators in support of a NSW Police Force operation at North Head, Manly.

Working alongside members from Manly and surrounding NSW SES units and the RFS, our crews worked efficiently and skilfully in what were often challenging conditions.

Today’s deployment is another example of the diverse operational capabilities of the NSW SES beyond our traditional storm and flood response. It also highlights the strength of inter-agency collaboration, with emergency services working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for the community, while demonstrating the value of cooperation between our own units and zones.

A big thank you to all members involved for their professionalism and commitment throughout today’s operation. drone Jihad Dib MP Mike Wassing NSW State Emergency Service

Tonight, our Unit was honored to receive a Commissioners Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of our sustained dedication, professionalism, and commitment to community service. We are proud of what we have achieved together and grateful for the support of our colleagues, partners, and community along the way.

A special congratulations to all of the individual award recipients who were also recognised this evening with NSW Premier Flood Citations for their contributions during the 2022-2023 floods. Your commitment, leadership, and efforts continue to make a meaningful difference and are thoroughly deserving of this recognition.

A special shout out also to Rory, who was recognised for 10 years of service this evening. A decade of commitment is a remarkable achievement.

A proud evening for our Unit and an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of all those recognized. 👏
