5/6B have been learning all about human adaptations! Students investigated the importance of our opposable thumbs by timing how long it took to complete everyday tasks, like writing our names. They then taped their thumbs down and repeated the tasks to see how much harder they became without this important adaptation! 👍➡️🚫

Safe to say… 5/6B definitely appreciate our opposable thumbs now! 😂👏

2CK have been finding their voice this term! 🎙

As part of Oral Language and Communication in English, students have been developing their public speaking skills. They wrote and presented prepared speeches before challenging themselves to write and deliver impromptu speeches! Students have also been learning how to be active listeners by showing respect, making eye contact and giving speakers their full attention. 👏✨
