🐱🚒 A PURRFECT RESCUE! 🚒🐱

Beveridge Fire Brigade was called out to lend a hand after a curious cat named Lola found herself in a tight spot. Stuck behind the wheel of a car! 🚗🐾

With a bit of patience and some careful work from our members, our furry passenger was safely freed and handed back over for some well earned cuddles.

We’re used to getting people out of tricky situations… but sometimes our smallest community members need a helping hand too!

🚨Motor Vehicle Incident - Hume Fwy Kalkallo

The Hume Freeway is currently closed (8.30am) southbound near Cameron Street in Kalkallo due to a motor vehicle incident and traffic will be impacted for sometime yet.

Please plan for significant traffic delays.

In 2025, our volunteers responded to nearly 500 call-outs - and 2026 is shaping up to be another incredibly busy year.

Now, we're preparing for the first annual Beveridge CFA Golf Day, and we're looking for local businesses and community members who would like to get involved.

A Birdie on a Par 4! 🐦⛳️🚒

At around 10:00am today, Beveridge Fire Brigade was called to Mandalay Golf Course after a pet bird decided that the top of a very tall tree was the perfect place to get itself stuck.

Armed with plenty of patience and alot of teamwork, our crew managed to safely bring the feathered adventurer back down to earth.
No fires, no smoke, just one bird who clearly missed the memo about staying out of tall trees! 😅

We’re happy to report the rescue was a success, and the bird was safely reunited with its very relieved owner. 🦜
