Scottish Celebrant: Joyce Mathers
There are moments in this work as a Funeral Celebrant that stay with me long after the service has ended.
Being invited into a family’s grief, memories, love, and farewell is something I never take lightly. It is a true privilege to stand beside families as they say goodbye to someone deeply loved.
After a recent service, I received these words from a family member, and I share them with gratitude:
"I just wanted to say a big heartfelt thank you for the service today. A good send off was important to mum and a celebrant with a "good tongue in her heed" was a big part of that! Everyone commented or sent messages saying your Eulogy was great and spot on"
To every family who places their trust in me during such tender times, thank you. It is an honour to help create a farewell that feels personal, meaningful, and right for the person being remembered.
