AUSLMAT is pleased to donate a Samsung HS40 ultrasound machine worth USD 26,721 to the Obstetric Unit at Kurunagala teaching hospital today, which would enable 1000’s of pregnant mothers to have their baby scans locally, without delays or having to travel far.

So glad to have been able to send this consignment of 5,000 phosphate tablets, as requested by pediatric endocrinologists in Sri Lanka, for the treatment of congenital rickets—a serious condition that affects bone development in infants and young children. As there is currently no medical-grade phosphate tablet available in the country, this medicine is in critical shortage and remains essential for the survival of affected children.

AUSLMAT’s recent donation of x2 cardiac monitors to Monaragala hospital. The hospital was in critical need of these monitors to safely do surgeries and provide post-operative care.

Cyclone Ditwah has brought catastrophic damage to Sri Lanka, leaving thousands of people displaced and vulnerable to outbreaks of waterborne diseases. Hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed, struggling with severe shortages of essential medicines, medical supplies, and emergency equipment. Many health facilities have also suffered structural damage due to flooding.
