Dungog Fire Station provides fire, emergency and rescue response to the greater Dungog Shire and part Great Lakes Shire

Dungog Fire Station is located on the corner of Lord Street & Mackay Street Dungog. It is a Retained Station comprising of paid on-call fire fighters who work on an availability roster. The station is currently staffed by a Captain, two Deputy Captains and 10 Fire Fighters. Dungog Fire Station provides a Fire, Hazmat, Medical and education/prevention/preparedness service to the Dungog township whi

lst supporting the NSW Rural Fire Services of greater Dungog, Clarence Town, Gresford and Stroud areas with HAZMAT, structure fires and other requests for assistance. Dungog Fire Station also provides a Primary Rescue response boundary of 2200 square kilometres incorporating the southern section of the Barrington Tops, Chichester & Upper Allyn State Forests and working alongside Gloucester SES Rescue, Ambulance Rescue Rutherford and Raymond Terrace SES Rescue.

On Saturday 9 May, from 10am to 2pm, Dungog Fire Station will be opening the doors, rolling out the red carpet and welcoming the community in for a day of fun, learning, and controlled firefighter mischief.

Bring the family along for a day full of:
• Fire truck displays (yes, you can press some buttons…
• Station tours
• Firefighting demonstrations
• Safety presentations
• Try on a cool helmet
• Free fun for the kids — and the adults who are big kids.

Our firefighters will be ready to chat about home fire safety, smoke alarms, and the role Fire and Rescue play within the community.

We are looking for additional on-call crew to join the existing team at Dungog Fire Station to ensure it operates at its full capacity.

Are you looking for ways to do more in the community? Do you want to learn more skills and challenge yourself? All whilst getting paid?

On-Call Firefighters play a crucial role in protecting people, property and the environment and attend incidents such as fires, chemical hazards, motor vehicle accidents as well as training sessions, community safety and education activities…..and did we mention you get paid to do all this‼️

We're looking for people with some daytime availability such as shift workers, night workers, stay at home parents and people working from home.
