Did you know you can request a tree for your nature strip?

More than 2200 new trees have been planted in 2026 as part of our commitment to delivering the Greening Greater Bendigo strategy and increasing tree cover in our urban areas and townships.

The City’s planting program occurs annually over the cooler months when conditions are favourable for tree establishment.

We’re now planning the 2027 planting program, and this is your opportunity to request a tree in your street 🌳

If you’d like to make a suggestion for next year’s planting program, please complete the online form before October 2026.

The 2026 BendiGLOW Youth Fest is a free neon, glowing, music, art and skate celebration of young people!

The event will feature Battle of the Bands, inflatable obstacle challenges, learn-to-skate workshops, UV facepainting, market stalls, and more 🎉

Battle of the Bands finalists Aisle 27, Big Bird, Jitterbug, Potassium, REVERSAL, Setonix, The Bluebirds, and Velora will compete to win awesome prizes.

New Progress Pride Flag artwork for Chancery Lane 🌈

We’ve installed new Progress Pride Flag artwork at the Hargreaves Street end of Chancery Lane.

This colourful new artwork will replace the existing Progress Pride Flag painted on the roadway at the front of the Bendigo Town Hall.

Relocating the Progress Pride Flag reflects the City’s efforts to ensure it can continue to be displayed in a way that is welcoming, safe and better protected than the current roadway.

We love this artwork, and we’re proud to celebrate our LGBTIQA+ communities and their important contribution to making Greater Bendigo a diverse and vibrant community.

No matter who you are or where you are from, we all equally belong ❤️
