Taking leave from the industry? If you are a registered worker with the Portable Long Service Authority and do not work in your industry for more than four consecutive years, your registration may become inactive.

If your registration is inactive, you may lose all your service hours and may not be able to claim portable long service.

Quarterly returns – The meaning of ‘Pending Review’

When you submit your quarterly return, you may receive a ‘Pending Review’ status appear alongside your return.

This means that our Lodgements team may need to review the data that has been submitted and contact you if further information is required.

Once the return has been reviewed and committed by our team, an invoice will be issued and you will have 14 days to remit payment. Do not pay your levy until you have received the invoice.

Problem uploading your quarterly returns spreadsheet to the employer portal?

Make sure that you have:

✅ exported a new spreadsheet for the quarter and saved it on your computer
✅ named your file without any symbols
✅ not added any additional columns to your spreadsheet
✅ used the correct reference codes in your spreadsheet
✅ included the Worker IDs for any workers on the ‘Contributions’ tab in your spreadsheet
✅ email addresses without any space at the beginning
✅ a spreadsheet that does not have any formulas and/or symbols in columns.

✅ Update your contact information

If you employ full-time, part-time, casual, apprentice or seasonal workers covered under the Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme, you are required to include them in your quarterly returns, even if they only work a few hours.
