🚚How does the Hazelmere Waste Transfer Station work?

Purpose-built for safe, efficient and high-volume operations, the Hazelmere Waste Transfer Station helps manage commercial waste across the region.

Here's what happens:

1️⃣ Waste is tipped inside a fully enclosed building.
2️⃣ Materials are stored and consolidated on the tipping floor.
3️⃣ Waste is loaded into high-capacity haulage vehicles.
4️⃣ It is then transported to Red Hill Waste Management Facility or other approved facilities for final disposal or processing.

The facility's enclosed design helps minimise dust, odour and noise while providing a reliable and efficient waste solution for commercial operators.

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮.

From 1 July 2026, the scheme has expanded to include more eligible beverage containers, including wine bottles, spirit bottles, fruit and vegetable juice, flavoured milk, cordial containers, and water and wine casks.
