We feel so honoured to have worked with the entire year five and six cohort from Bardon State School who joined us for a day as Connected Leaders. Together we explored what it takes to be a good leader and how spending time in nature can help us to strengthen these skills.

We know Bardon is in good hands with such enthusiastic, creative and resilient young people leading their school🫢

Our team have been working very hard this term to install a pond in our Bugs garden! It's become a great resource for our students, attracting a range of life to help them find and investigate insects. We've already found water boatmen, dragonfly larvae and watched some very happy birds take a dip to cool off.

A huge thank you to our teacher Franki for instigating this project, and another huge thank you to our teacher Karl for putting in the hard work and getting it done!

We are so proud of our new pond and can't wait to see what else soon calls it home πŸΈπŸπŸ¦‹

Happy Aussie Bird Count week! πŸ¦œπŸ¦πŸ¦‰

Why not join Australia's biggest citizen-science event by signing up to count birds in your local area! It could be the birds in your backyard, at your school or those you notice on an afternoon walk. It's a great way to help our scientists understand the health of our beautiful birds and environment.

You can sign up here and get started using the resources online - https://aussiebirdcount.org.au/

Happy counting!
