Thank you to the Community Bank Dandenong Ranges for this very generous surprise grant! 🎉

As a small, entirely volunteer-run community organisation, extra funds like these help to keep us going and with the costs involved with our big move the timing couldn't be better! 💙

At Community Bank Upwey & District and Emerald & District, we’re excited to share something special… our 2026 Staff Grant Program!

Each of our staff members was given the opportunity to choose and surprise a local community group they’re passionate about supporting. Because our team works with the community every day, they see firsthand the incredible work being done and were absolutely thrilled to support a local group with a surprise $1,500 donation. 💛

We’re excited to share these moments with you over the coming weeks.

1️⃣5️⃣ Our fifteenth (and final) presentation was made by Cheryl Gaston, on behalf of Susan Trsidder our Home Lending Specialist who was unable to attend the presentation. Susan chose to support the Belgrave and Surrounds Toy Library

Susan chose this group as Susan believes that toy libraries are a great way to recycle toys, benefiting the environment while also fostering community engagement. In addition, the group was in the process of relocating to new premises, which brought with it increased overheads and additional costs.

Their new premises is at the Sherbrooke Family and Children’s Centre in Upwey

The new space is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our community through the doors of our new home at the Sherbrooke Family and Children’s Centre in Upwey.

Our regular opening hours at the new space will be very similar to before, with a slightly shorter Sunday session:
💙 Tuesday: 1–2pm
💙 Thursday: 9–10am
💙 Sunday: 3:30–4:30pm

We hope to see you there soon! 👋

This National Volunteer Week the Belgrave and Surrounds Toy Library recognise our entire community who make the Toy Library possible! Thank you for your support 💙

This year's theme, Your Year to Volunteer, honours the contributions of volunteers and invites people across Australia to make 2026 a year of meaningful involvement, in ways that work for them.
