Ricky's Place

Ricky's Place Sapphire Community @ Ricky's Place is a cafe providing meals in a relaxed social setting. Everyone is welcome and donations are gratefully accepted.

Every Monday lunch is served, with many options at 12.30pm ~1.30pm. Sapphire Community Projects Inc, which also runs the Sapphire Community Pantry at 2 Peden Street Bega, leases the kitchen and hall of St John's Anglican Church. From there we run SapphireCommunity@Ricky's, providing delicious free meals, in a relaxed and comfortable space. Everyone is welcome, donations are gratefully received, an

Warm, hearty winter meals are on the menu at Ricky’s Place this Monday!

Whether you're in the mood for comforting Beef Stew with creamy mashed potato, a classic Curried Sausage, homemade Minestrone with garlic bread, or crunchy Crumbed Chicken with coleslaw and potato salad, there's something delicious waiting for you.

And don't forget dessert! This week we're serving a beautiful Almond Coconut Pudding, everyone's favourite Lumberjack Cake, and Fresh Fruit Salad.

Another delicious Monday coming up at Ricky’s Place!

This week’s menu features a wonderful mix of hearty winter meals, including Spinach & Ricotta Conchiglioni, a rich Sausage, Bean & Bacon Ragu, Lamb & Vegetable Bake, and Bacon, Leek & Potato Frittata.

And for dessert, we have something a little different - Rizogalo, a traditional Greek rice pudding that is creamy, comforting and delicately flavoured with cinnamon. Alongside Berry Pastries and Fresh Fruit Salad, there’s sure to be something to tempt you 😊

Come in from the cold and enjoy hearty homemade meals, delicious desserts and good company in our welcoming community space.

Whether you feel like a rich Spaghetti Bolognese, comforting Fish Pie, Fancy Frittata! or our warming Moroccan Chickpea Stew, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Ricky’s Place is looking to grow our wonderful volunteer kitchen team 😊
We would especially love to hear from anyone with cooking or chef experience who might be interested in helping lead the kitchen on a fortnightly or monthly basis and helping provide cover when others are away.
Retired chefs, experienced home cooks, keen foodies - perhaps this might be something for you?
Ricky’s Place is a warm, welcoming and rewarding community space, serving healthy meals and connection each week to people from all walks of life.
Volunteering can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly - or simply as availability allows.

We will be there tomorrow at the Bega Valley Volunteer Expo with some freebies and to chat about how you might be able to help us run Ricky’s Place. You don’t need any particular experience, and there are a wide range of roles available, from customer service, cooking, organising, IT support and social media. Even a few hours of your time would be very helpful. If you can’t make it, feel free to send us a message and we can have a chat😁.
