A busy Saturday for Cedar Creek Wolffdene Rural Fire Brigade

Last Saturday, one crew was fortunate enough to attend a SEQ Water Fire Trails Familiarisation Day, while other crews, alongside Chambers Flat Rural Fire Brigade, assisted local landowners with a number of stack pile burns.

With perfect weather conditions, both activities provided excellent opportunities for members to further develop their skills, gain valuable experience, and build on their operational knowledge in preparation for the upcoming fire season.

Training and practical experience like this are vital in ensuring our members remain ready to respond when needed and continue to provide the best possible service to our community.

A big thank you to everyone involved for their dedication and commitment to keeping our community prepared and resilient.

Cedar creek Wolffdene Open day 2026

What an incredible day!

A huge thank you to everyone from our local community who came along to our Open Day. It was fantastic to see so many people taking the time to learn more about what we do, meet our members, explore our appliances, and gain a better understanding of bushfire preparedness and community safety.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to Tamborine Mountain Rural Fire Brigade and Logan Village Rural Fire Brigade who supported the day. Your assistance, displays, and engagement helped make the event a great success.

Special thanks to our members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes before, during, and after the event. From planning and setup to demonstrations and pack-up, your dedication and commitment to our brigade and community were on full display.

We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the day as much as we enjoyed hosting it. If the Open Day inspired you to learn more about volunteering with the Rural Fire Service, we’d love to hear from you.

Thank you once again for your support, and we look forward to seeing you around the community.
