What a morning! ☕🍪🍰

Last Thursday we held our Australia's Biggest Morning Tea as part of Neighbourhood Centre Week 2026. Together we raised $1,617 for Cancer Council Queensland. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a lovely morning.

Our entertainment came from Vintage Echo, a duo made up of Di and Brenda who met in a community choir a few years back. They treated us to everything from golden oldies to rock and roll, and honestly the room had a ball. Thanks Village Echo! 🎤🎵

🫖 It's morning tea time! ☕

We're hosting Australia's Biggest Morning Tea right here in Beenleigh, and we'd love you to be part of it.

Come along for a cuppa, a bite to eat, and some great company, while supporting the Cancer Council's life-changing work in research and care. This year we're aiming to raise $1,500 together.

This event is also part of Neighbourhood Centre Week, your chance to connect with your local community in the most meaningful way.

📅 Thursday 14 May
⏰ 10:00am – 12:30pm
📍 Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre, 10–12 James Street
💵 $10 per person (payable on the day; card payments incur a small surcharge)

There'll be giveaways, activities, and a raffle - plenty to enjoy alongside the good cause.

We're looking for donations 🎨

There's a brand new craft group coming soon to the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre! It'll be a space for creatives of all kinds to gather together, share skills, work on projects, and connect with like-minded people. With some elements of mindfulness, collaborative projects and peer-led learning built in, it's going to be such a fun space for our community members to connect in.

We're looking for donations of craft supplies of any kind to help get the group going. If you'd like to support this project through a donation, please contact us.

What a fantastic afternoon! 🌿

Yesterday's 'Sip & Learn: Your Sustainable Living Afternoon Tea' was everything we hoped it would be. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a great day. 🙌
