Australia Day in Beechworth

Australia Day in Beechworth In 2018, we'll be having a family BBQ in the evening, with lots of entertainment and the presentation of community awards.

Each year, the Australia Day Celebration in Beechworth is organised by The Beechworth Lions Club, Rotary Club, Scouts and CWA in conjunction with the Indigo Shire. Evening starts at 5.30pm with dinner served from 6-7pm. Then the awards and a talk from our Ambassador Stan Alves (AFL player, coach and businessman)

BBQ tea will be available for $5 a head or $10 a family (children under 15). Fresh drinking water will be available thanks to NE Water.

Our Story

Every year on Australia Day 26th January there is a family BBQ in the evening, with of entertainment and the presentation of community awards. Evening starts at 5.30 p.m. with dinner served from 6.00 p.m. Cost of meal $5.00 each or $10.00 per family (Children under 15 years). Followed by the presentation of the Council Australia Day Awards and a talk from our Australia Day Ambassador. Fresh drinking water will be available thanks to North East Water along with reusable water bottles.
