Beechmont is a residential village located in the Gold Coast hinterland, Queensland, Australia. The suburb is positioned on a forested ridge leading from the Lamington Plateau to Tambourine Mountain. Outstanding views in nearly all directions means that on a clear day Cunninghams Gap and other Scenic Rim landforms are visible as well as Flinders Peak, Moogerah Peaks and the D'Aguilar Range to the

north west of Brisbane. Roads in the area are narrow and windy, some are prone to rockfalls and some with very steep slopes. The road to Binna Burra and access to Lamington National Park goes through Beechmont. The Rosins Lookout Conservation Park is a popular launch site for hangliders and paragliders.

KOKODA LEGACY is back for one final year in 2023 🎖️ https://bit.ly/3u4HLRA

Hike or trail run 10km, 20km or 30km through Kokoda Barracks in Canungra, or embark on a 5km Remembrance Walk to a memorial in Kokoda Barracks to lay down a poppy for our fallen servicemen and women.

🥾 There are no team requirements, you can register as an individual however we encourage participants to adventure together
🥾 Fundraising is not required to participate! All proceeds from your registration will be donated 50/50 to Kokoda Youth Foundation and Gold Coast Legacy. Last year we raised almost $100,000 for these two local charities!

Held on 11 November Remembrance Day, the 2023 Kokoda Legacy event honours the fallen who fought to protect our great nation. 2023 also marks the centenary of Legacy Australia.

This is your opportunity to traverse through army land in Canungra that is strictly prohibited to the public and support two local charities that are changing the lives of people in our community ❤️
