7th December - today is the 9th anniversary of the first drumming circle I lead as circle keeper for the purpose of making the land at 108 Springfield Rd, Bedfordale a sacred site
108 is a very spiritual number and I felt guided to acknowledge this beautiful number especially at the time of the Armadale Council preparing their business plan to subdivide and sell the land for housing development 😬😳
What a journey it has been - initially the circle was to save the land - a meeting with the Mayor coming to the land at 108 to listen to our reasons for not wanting the land subdivided. They were good reasons and the Mayor said he was persuaded by our presentation.
A few days later I was at a meditation at Organic circle and I spoke my intention into the group to save the land at 108 Springfield Rd. A man asked me later “ did you say 108, Judith?” I wondered what does the number matter - he said Google the significance of 108 as a spiritual number - which I did - then it became very clear to me we had to make it a sacred site.
It has been an expanding role for me to become a circle keeper for the fortnightly circles. Over the years our size has varied with the biggest circle being 23 members - the whole valley vibrated to a magical energy that night. Other circles are smaller - each one is unique because the energy of the moon in its cycles is different and the members are varied
I am so grateful to know that we have created this space and experienced the collective and individual gifts which flow from the knowing that we rise by lifting others .initially the circle was to save land - in recent years with so much change - it is truly to save each other
