🔹 Supporting Healthy Relationships 🔹

Our Senior School students recently welcomed We Are W/M to Fremantle College for an important session on consent and healthy relationships.

Grounded in the Commonwealth Consent Policy Framework, the session gave students practical knowledge and language to help them understand and navigate consent in everyday life.

Through discussion, activities and real-life scenarios, students explored what consent means, the legalities of consent, how to ask for, give and withdraw consent, and the many factors that can influence a person’s decisions.

Thank you to We Are W/M for facilitating an engaging and valuable conversation with our students.

🌊 From Fremantle to Tasmania!

Congratulations to Year 12 student Archey, who recently won an all expenses paid trip to Tasmania to attend the University of Tasmania Open Day, following a careers presentation held at Fremantle College.

Archey, pictured in the brown jacket, studies Marine and Maritime Studies and was selected as the WA competition winner, joining two other high school winners from the eastern states for the experience.

The trip gave Archey the opportunity to explore the university, discover future study and career pathways and get a firsthand look at where his interest in the marine field could take him beyond Year 12.

A huge thank you to the University of Tasmania for providing Archey with such a fantastic opportunity, and once again, congratulations!

Last week, Fremantle College came together to celebrate Wear It Purple Day, showing our support for an inclusive College community where every student feels safe, respected and valued for who they are.

Students and staff added a splash of purple to the day, creating an opportunity to celebrate diversity, encourage kindness and reinforce the importance of belonging.

Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped fill our College with purple and positivity!

🌱 Growing Together 🌱

Students from Winterfold Primary School recently joined our Year 11 and 12 students for a hands-on morning of planting and connecting with our environment.

Working together, students planted native species and created seed bombs to help bring even more life to areas across the College, including the gardens near our Performing Arts Centre, the Yarning Circle and Kitchen Garden.

It was wonderful to see our older students working alongside and supporting younger students from our local community, while contributing to the biodiversity and ongoing greening of our College grounds.

A fantastic morning of teamwork, connection and learning beyond the classroom.

🎭 Coming Soon | Year 11 Drama Presents Twelfth Night

Our Year 11 Drama students are preparing to take to the stage with their adaptation of Shakespeare’s great comedy, Twelfth Night (in slightly modern English).

The story follows Viola, a young woman who disguises herself as a man in an attempt to go unnoticed, only to find herself caught in a rather complicated love triangle involving Duke Orsino and Lady Olivia. Expect mistaken identities, plenty of confusion and lots of laughs along the way!

For some of our Year 11 students, this will be their first large scale performance, and they have been working hard to bring the production to life.

Come along and support them on Tuesday 15 September.
