Beaconsfield Upper Primary School

Beaconsfield Upper Primary School Co-educational State Primary School. Beaconsfield Upper Primary School is located 10kms north of Be Welcome to our amazing school.

Our school is set in a tranquil bush setting with lots of shade, nooks and crannies to explore and play and a magnificent community oval for all our cricketers, footballers, gymnasts and soccer players. When you visit you will see and feel the vibrant friendly environment we are proud of. Our strong connection to family and community is displayed through the respect our students show for one anoth

er, our visitors and their teachers. We welcome friends and family, and enjoy the partnership we have in developing happy, healthy and clever young people. Our community involvement also provides the platform for our students to engage in meaningful ways with the broader world to which they belong. A sense of connectedness to home, family and community is important for us as we help develop strong resilient and respectful individuals. Our strong academic program is complemented through a range of extra curricula activities including: GATEWAYS (gifted and talented program), Sustainability programs, Young leaders events, Water conference participation, Chess tournaments, Interschool Sports, Athletic and Swimming carnivals, Cross Country competitions, Hoop time basketball. Human powered vehicles and pushcarts have a long tradition here and I know that the adult teams enjoy being “kids” again as they participate alongside our school teams. Lunchtime clubs are also on offer, and though ever evolving, have included to date: gardening club, library time, drumming, lego, board games, chess, robotics, yoga and drawing, to name a few. To embrace our creative spirit we have an annual musical production. Everyone performs and our wonderful parents support us in making costumes, building the sets and even choreographing some of our items. For those that particularly enjoy “The Arts” we also have our annual “BUPS has Talent” competition, which has exposed a diverse range of talents from singing and dancing to acrobatics and magic. Our students also enjoy Specialist programs which encourage a love of literature, visual arts, music, sustainability and sporting endeavours. A strong parent community is engaged with us through classroom volunteering, but also through the more formal School Council roles, our Class Representative program and a very active Parents and Friends Association. The African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” is strongly felt here at BUPS and drives our motto “Not just a school but part of the community”.

We hope that you and your family will consider being part of our dynamic school community.

Last week, 1/2A created their very own town!
Using their maths and design skills, students planned, built, and problem-solved together to bring their ideas to life. We loved seeing their creativity, teamwork, and learning on display throughout the project!
Check out their amazing town 👏🏻
