Last Wednesday 10 June was a proud and memorable moment for our school community as we officially opened the Junior Playground, celebrating this wonderful new space which has been fully funded by the P&C.
Alongside P&C Executive members, we were also honoured to warmly welcome distinguished guests Dr Michelle Byrne, Mayor of The Hills Shire; Councillor Frank De Masi, Deputy Mayor; Mr Mark Hodges MP, Member for Castle Hill; and Joanne Marshall, Director, Educational Leadership for The Hills Principal Network. Their presence added significance to the occasion as we acknowledged the generosity, partnership and shared commitment that brought this project to life. It was a truly uplifting event that highlighted the strength of our community and the exciting opportunities this new playground will provide for our students.

Our Literacy Lovers' Day on 2 June was an absolute highlight of the term, filling the school with colour, creativity and pure joy. Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, proudly showcasing everything from classic heroes to modern storybook stars.
The morning parade for Years K-2 was a wonderful celebration with families attending in the hall to cheer on our enthusiastic young readers and applaud their impressive costumes!
The effort, imagination and excitement from the children was truly impressive, and the event beautifully captured our school's love of literature.
A very special Thank you goes to Mrs Mashiash, our dedicated librarian, whose passion for reading and exceptional organisation made the day such a memorable success.
We also extend our gratitude to our parent helpers who volunteered at the book fair.

This Friday is Walk Safely to School Day. Now in its 27th year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all primary school children are encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a community event seeking to promote road safety, health, public transport and the environment.
Even if you can't walk all the way from home, consider parking a little further away from the gates and walking the rest of the way!

Our school community is feeling incredibly proud as we celebrate two remarkable teachers who embody dedication, passion and excellence.

This week, we congratulate Mrs Felicity Johnson on an extraordinary milestone - 30 years of teaching, including 25 wonderful years at Baulkham Hills North. Her warmth, professionalism and unwavering commitment have shaped countless students and enriched our school in ways that are truly immeasurable. What a gift she is to our community!

We also celebrate Mrs Emily Clifton, who has recently graduated with a Master of Education (Educational Leadership) with Distinction from the University of Wollongong. Completing this demanding degree while teaching full‑time and raising two young children is an inspiring achievement that reflects her determination, resilience and passion for learning.

Together, Mrs Johnson and Mrs Clifton remind us of how fortunate we are to have such exceptional teachers at BHNPS, guiding our students every day. Leave the teachers a comment here if you’d like to extend your congratulations too!

💐🩷Wishing all our families a very Happy Mother’s Day! We hope your weekend is filled with love, appreciation and a little bit of spoiling.

Our Mother’s Day Stall on Tuesday was an absolute delight, with so many beautiful gifts for the children to choose from. Students loved going “shopping” in the hall with their classes, carefully selecting something special for the wonderful women in their lives. From travel mugs to candles, jewellery to fluffy socks, hand creams and keyrings, they browsed the tables with excitement and we're sure they have loved presenting you with their gifts today.

It was especially heart‑warming to see our Kindergarten students shopping alongside their Year 6 buddies - a special moment that made the experience even more meaningful for our youngest learners.

A huge thank‑you to our amazing Baulkham Hills North Public School P&C Mother's Day stall committee and all the generous volunteers who helped make the stall such a smooth, joyful and successful event. Your time and effort mean so much to our school community.

Happy Mother's Day!

Our Zone Cross Country team did us proud yesterday at Balcombe Heights, taking on tough competition with incredible determination and heart. From start to finish, our team of 49 runners showed outstanding school spirit, impressive sportsmanship, and truly exceptional behaviour - they represented our school with absolute pride.

Every student gave their all on a challenging course, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share that four of our runners came in the top 8 in their races and have qualified for Regionals. Well done to Mia H, Harry M, Lara B and Ella D who will represent at Sydney West on 9 June - what an amazing achievement.

We are so proud of every one of our competitors — congratulations on a fantastic day of effort, courage and teamwork!

What a wonderful morning it was at school today as we celebrated our amazing mums and grandma's at the Mother’s Day Breakfast!

The event, so thoughtfully organised by the Baulkham Hills North Public School P&C, brought a genuine sense of warmth and community to the start of the day. The beautifully arranged table settings, the delicious catered breakfast, and the fun welcoming atmosphere all reflected the care and effort that went into making the occasion so special. We sincerely thank the P&C organising committee for making the event such a success.

The Strings Ensemble, Primary Choir, and Pulse Alive Choir all gave wonderful performances which left the audience feeling proud and a little bit teary! We thank them and their teachers (Mrs Shim, Mrs Drayson and Miss Law) for sharing their time and talents with us all.

And finally, thank you to the hundreds of mums and children who attended, shared breakfast and chatted together. We hope the morning left you with a sense of connection, appreciation, and another BHNPS memory to treasure!
