At fire rescue NSW 218 Batlow isn’t just about structure fires and car crashes.

It’s about answering the call—no matter the hour. Leaving the comfort of home, knowing someone out there needs you on their worst day.

It’s stepping into the unknown with a crew that stands beside you like family. Not by blood, but by trust, shared moments, and the unspoken understanding that no one walks through it alone.

It’s early mornings that start in the dark. Long nights that don’t end when you’re tired. Training that tests you, breaks you, and builds you into something stronger than you ever thought possible.

It’s the sound of boots hitting the ground. The quiet nod before a job. The laughter in the truck that cuts through the pressure. The hand on your shoulder that says, “I’ve got you,” without a word being spoken.

It’s not just a role.

It’s belonging.
It’s pride.
It’s standing for something bigger than yourself.

It’s the kind of memories that never leave you… long after the pager goes quiet.

🔥 BBQs and campfires are a weekend favourite — safety comes first

Batlow Fire Station reminds the community that children should always be closely supervised near fires. Hot plates, embers and flames can cause serious burns in seconds.

Before lighting up:
• Check conditions and local fire restrictions
• Keep children well away from fires
• Never leave a fire unattended

🔥 Smoke detectors save lives – but only if they’re working 🔥

A working smoke detector gives you precious time to escape in a fire.

Make sure yours is ready:
🔔 Test it monthly
🔋 Replace batteries yearly or when it chirps
🧹 Keep it clean and dust free
📆 Replace the alarm every 10 years

Batlow Fire Station provides FREE Home Fire Safety Visits for our community. Firefighters can visit your home to check smoke detectors and talk through simple steps to reduce fire risk.

Stay safe…..Always keep looking when cooking! 👀🍳

🎄 Festive feasts are better without a fire truck visit! 🔥🚒
The kitchen is the heart of the home this festive season — but it’s also where many house fires start.

👀 Always keep looking when cooking.
Stay close to the stove, avoid distractions, and don’t let a moment away turn into a kitchen disaster.

🏠 We want everyone home, safe, and celebrating Christmas — not dealing with an emergency.
Enjoy the festivities, enjoy the food, and look while you cook.

🔥 Stay fire safe this festive season.
