Batlow Fire Station reminds the community that children should always be closely supervised near fires. Hot plates, embers and flames can cause serious burns in seconds.

Before lighting up:
• Check conditions and local fire restrictions
• Keep children well away from fires
• Never leave a fire unattended
• Fully extinguish fires when finished

A working smoke detector gives you precious time to escape in a fire.

Make sure yours is ready:

🔋 Replace batteries yearly or when it chirps

Batlow Fire Station provides FREE Home Fire Safety Visits for our community. Firefighters can visit your home to check smoke detectors and talk through simple steps to reduce fire risk.

Even tho its Christmas and everyone is spending time with family and friends for Christmas, but even for our firefighters leave them all be hind for a call out,

At 9:45am this morning Batlow’s crew had responded alongside tumut for an AFA(automatic fire alarm) its a very special thanks to all first responders who takes the time away from family and friends to help others
