On Friday 19 June 2026, CWWHC was honoured to be invited by Generations of Women Australia to address the Bathurst audience on our important work in this milestone 40th year; four decades of serving women, children and young people in our community.
Women spanning their 20s to their 70s took to the stage and spoke passionately about the topics closest to their hearts. The evening was a fantastic success, with the audience moved deeply by every presentation. Among the speakers was our very own Bernadette Wood, Board Member of CWWHC, whose story was truly inspirational. Bern spoke beautifully about the quiet but profound influence of her unassuming mother, and how that influence shaped the remarkable woman she is today. As the saying goes… we may become our mothers.

We recently welcomed Yvette Pearce from The Bra Room to our centre. Yvette specialises in supporting women after mastectomy across NSW, offering a mobile, in-home fitting service for post-mastectomy bras and breast forms to women in remote areas of the Central West. We're grateful to have access to this service for our community, and Yvette will return to visit us again in October 2026. The Bra Room

We are so grateful to Rob Barlow and trusted volunteers from the Rotary Club of Bathurst for their generous support in refurbishing our cubby house and installing a storage shed at Central West Women's Health Centre.
This much-loved outdoor space is being transformed into a vibrant, imaginative play area for the children and young people who participate in our trauma counselling programs. Thanks to Rotary's contribution, the cubby house will soon feature a colourful mural, a chalk wall for creative expression and freshly sanded and oiled flooring and steps for safety and presentation. Watch this space as the mural unfolds.
