Good morning Bateau Bay. Has anyone local to the fire station lost a kitten.
This little fella has been hanging around the fire station all night. It’s a friendly little cat.
Get in touch with the fire station or come around and pick it up.

EDIT. Garfield has been collected by his happy family. Thanks for all the calls and responses to send him home.

Today is St Florian’s Day - also known as International Firefighters Day.

St Florian is the patron saint of firefighters and today we pay tribute to the dedicated men and women, who serve in times of fire and emergency and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting others.

Please join us as we acknowledge the commitment and dedication of all firefighters worldwide, both current and retired, no matter what uniform they wear or what language they speak.

May the 4th be with you πŸ”₯πŸš’πŸ§‘πŸΌβ€πŸš’πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’

May the 4th be with you πŸ”₯πŸš’πŸ§‘πŸΌβ€πŸš’πŸ‘¨β€πŸš’

πŸš’ May 4th was chosen as International Firefighters' Day as it is the feast day of St Florian, the Patron Saint of Firefighters.
St Florian was the first known commander of one Firefighting squad in the Roman Empire.
He lost his life, as well as those of his colleagues, for protecting the same humane ideas which Firefighters all over the world share even today.
Happy International Firefighters' Day to Firefighters and their supporters all around the world.
We thank you for the courage, commitment, and dedication you show every day by serving your community.
Stay safe.
Pete Learmonth

Lest we forget.

Today we honour those who served and protected their country in times of war and conflict, with many paying the ultimate sacrifice fighting for freedom.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
