Hi All,
It’s that time of year again — our Tree Planting Days are happening soon. We’ve got 500 plants this time, including 300 trees, so it's going to be a busy couple of mornings.
When:
Sunday, June 29 (weather dependent)
Sunday, July 13 (edited) (weather dependent)
Time: 9am - 11pm
Where: Broadway Reserve (Centenary Ct side)
We’re focusing on planting native trees in the southern part of the reserve where the old path has been removed to try and create a leafy canopy that’ll (hopefully) keep the w**ds down and give our shrubs some room to breathe. Last year’s shrub's success rate wasn't great in areas but along the swamp, there are still quite a few that are still kicking, so we'll also aim to fill this area out a bit more. We have some soil additives this year so we're going to quality over quantity!
What to bring:
Sturdy shoes (no flip-flops, please)
Gloves
Water, sunscreen, and a hat
Long sleeves to avoid getting scratched
Let me know if you’re in by 25th — just reply to this email/message.
Or if you are really interested and would prefer a different day/time, please send me some feedback.
Let’s get some trees in the ground!

Thanks,
Tom Floyd
