Great day out at the Bassendean Markets today with Senator Dean Smith, Anthony Spagnolo MLC and the Bassendean Liberal team.

It was also fantastic to have many of our new members come along and get involved.

This is what grassroots politics is all about — getting out into the community, talking to people face to face and, most importantly, listening to what they have to say.

Plenty of great conversations today and plenty to take away from them.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat! 💙

See you at the next one!

📣 SECRET HARBOUR BY-ELECTION

Next Saturday 29 August, the Hasluck and Bullwinkel Divisions are joining forces to help support Ryan Robertson - Liberal for Secret Harbour

We’re looking for volunteers who can spare some time to come down, join the team and help out at the polling booth.

Even 2–3 hours makes a big difference, and it’ll be a great day with plenty of people there to support Ryan.

If you’d like to help, send me a message or comment below and I’ll get in touch with the details.

Let’s get a team together and help get Ryan elected! 💙

Great night in Bassendean 💙

Small and family businesses are the backbone of our local communities, but there’s no doubt it’s getting harder and harder to run one.

These sorts of conversations are important. Getting business owners in the room and hearing directly from them about what’s working, what isn’t, and what government can do better.

Thank you to everyone who came along and had their say, and to Steve Martin MLC and Anthony Spagnolo MLC for taking the time to listen.

🚶This morning we were out in Bassendean speaking with local business owners and hearing about the challenges they’re facing.

Some of the conversations were quite concerning.
Several business owners told us they’re struggling to keep up with government regulation, rising costs and increasing pressure on their businesses.

😢 Some even said they think they’ll be out of business by the time of the next election comes around.

Whether you agree with them or not, it’s important to listen. These are the people who employ locals, support the community and keep Australia moving.

Thank you to Peter and the Morley Bassendean Branch for organising the morning and to everyone who gave up their Friday to get out and speak with local businesses.

We’ll keep showing up, listening and standing up for our local communities. 💙

Hasluck 🤝 Bullwinkel, backing Ryan Robertson - Liberal for Secret Harbour 💙

🚘 Today we made the three hour round trip from the Perth Hills to the coast to support our Liberal candidate for Secret Harbour, Ryan Robertson, alongside Hon Anthony Spagnolo MLC.

It was great to meet Ryan for the first time. He’s a genuine, down to earth bloke with a real passion for his community.

As a local councillor, family man, Navy veteran and businessman, Ryan brings real world experience and a proven record of service.
He’s exactly the kind of person you want representing your community—not a career politician.

🇦🇺 We’re proud to get behind and support Ryan’s campaign and wish him every success.
Secret Harbour deserves strong local representation by someone who knows what hard work is, and I honestly believe Ryan is the best candidate for the job. 💙
