National Simulatenous Storytime
This week, our students took part in National Simultaneous Storytime. They enjoyed listening to the story, particularly the Australian animal characters and the soccer theme.

Following the reading, each class completed a writing or art activity inspired by the book. Students in 3–4C had fun designing and creating their own soccer balls as part of a craft activity.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate reading and be part of a shared literacy experience enjoyed by students across Australia.

National Simultaneous Storytime
Today BPS joined schools and libraries across Australia for National Simultaneous Storytime, a special event that celebrates the joy of reading and sharing stories together.

This year’s story, Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, had our students laughing and fully engaged as they enjoyed Luna Roo’s fun antics and exciting adventures.

National Simultaneous Storytime is a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading, imagination, and shared learning experiences across our school community.

Swimming Scheme
Our students have had a fantastic start to the swimming program, building confidence and learning vital water safety skills.

Day one focused on assessing current swimming abilities and identifying areas for growth. Day two was all about safety in the water, including floating on their backs, correct kicking techniques, and introducing starting strokes for some students.

It has been great to see students trying their best, supporting each other, and becoming more confident in the water as they learn important swimming and safety skills.
