Due to this morning’s Cross Country Carnival, our K–2 students missed their fortnightly assembly. However, we didn’t let that stop us from taking the time to celebrate their hard work, achievements and successes!

This afternoon, our K–2 students enjoyed a special student assembly with their peers where we recognised those who have been demonstrating our PBL values, celebrated students who have completed the 50 Book Challenge, and drew names from our ‘Caught You Being Good’ barrel! 🎉

Congratulations to all of our award recipients 🌟

Harmony & Refugee Day

On Thursday, 18 June (Week 9), we will be celebrating Harmony Day and Multicultural Day at our school.

Students are invited to wear orange clothing or traditional multicultural attire to celebrate the diversity of our school community.

This is a free event, and we do not expect families to purchase anything special for the occasion. Students will participate in a range of classroom activities that recognise Harmony and Refugee Day, whilst celebrating the many cultures represented within our school.

A big thank you to our Support Staff for organising this exciting day for our students.

During National Reconciliation Week, our students explored Aboriginal art and symbols, learning about the cultures, histories and traditions of First Nations peoples.

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme is “All In”. Through creative art experiences and meaningful discussions, students reflected on the importance of respect, understanding and working together.

We are proud of the curiosity, creativity and respect our students demonstrated as they engaged in this important learning.

Attendance Matters at BNPS!

We were fortunate to secure tickets to this coming Monday's NRL match between the Bulldogs and the Eels.

As part of our 2026 attendance goals, we wanted to use these tickets to reward students who have maintained an attendance rate of 90% or higher so far this term. After running an attendance report and conducting a random draw, our lucky winners were:

Layth (K-2), Carla (3-6)

Congratulations to both students and their families!

We have also secured tickets to the Bulldogs' Round 16 match against the Manly Sea Eagles at Accor Stadium.

To give more students the opportunity to win, we will be conducting another random draw in two weeks' time. Mr Scott will be monitoring attendance, and students will receive entries based on the following criteria:

* Students who arrive at school on time will receive one entry per day.
* Students can earn a maximum of nine entries during the promotion period.

The promotion period will run from Tuesday 10 June to Friday 20 June.

Everyday counts and being at school on time helps students make the most of their learning opportunities while increasing their chances of winning!

Keep an eye out for a short video next week explaining the initiative in more detail and highlighting the importance of regular attendance and punctuality.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping our students attend school every day and arrive ready to learn.

Today, Stage 1 had quite the adventure at the Royal National Park!
Students had the opportunity to locate and identify different species of birds and insects in their natural habitat. They even got to build some habitats of their own!
The enjoyment and enthusiasm was evident on the faces of all our students. What a wonderful day!
