We were very lucky over the last two days to have had visits from Dr Bethany-Tooth Tales. The children absolutely loved her engaging story & songs and getting to dress up like dentists. It also provided another opportunity to build on our understanding of dental health. Thank you so much for the visit Dr Bethany!

This week we celebrated Harmony Week. The children held class discussions and shared books about acknowledging and respecting our different thoughts, feelings and cultures. Both rooms created artwork to display as a reminder of this. The 3 year olds made fish & the Pre-Prep class made a group flower collage. Thanks to everyone you got involved to share the message 🧡

As you may be aware the East Gippsland Shire have recently announced the Kindergarten Central Registration Service for enrolments. Bairnsdale Kindergarten have opted out of this system and are continuing to take enrolments as per usual, directly through our Kindergarten. Please contact Sharon on 51523151 or find us at bairnsdalekindergarten.com.au to complete an enrolment form if you wish to enrol your children in 3 or 4 year old Kindergarten.

We are excited to share the news that our fabulous Director Re Gardam has joined the Sarah Louise Consultancy team. She still remains in her current position as Director and Pre-Prep Lead Teacher, this is just an opportunity for her to share her wisdom and knowledge with others further afield. Congratulations Re!

I am absolutely pumped to welcome Re Gardam to the Sarah Louise Consultancy team, alongside Sarah Louise and Montana, in 2025/2026!

The addition of Re to the team means we can support more services, more graduate teachers, and more early childhood professionals across the country!

I'll pass over now to Re so she can introduce herself:

"Hi my name is Re Gardam and I am currently a director and early childhood teacher at a sessional kindergarten in East Gippsland. I have 25 plus years of experience working with children in a variety of setting and with various ages. I started my journey working towards a primary school degree only to defer whilst I had my family. I had three children in three and a half years and quickly realised how important and influential the early years are. I switched my focus to completing a cert 3 and diploma in children’s services while my crew were little, followed by a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood once they started school. More recently I have completed a Masters in Leadership with an early childhood focus.

I am passionate about supporting, educating and caring for children and their families. I have a strong focus on delivering a play-based curriculum which nurtures and supports all children’s learning dispositions. I believe all children deserve high quality education surrounded by a team of educators who are attuned, flexible and compassionate to their individual needs.

My strengths are communication, compassion, leadership, and leading with a focus to continually improve myself, my team, our service and ensure that there is a priority to reach positive outcomes for all children."

⭐️⭐️ Attention all 2026 Families ⭐️⭐️

Bairnsdale Kindergarten are holding our AGM on Thursday 30th October at 6.30pm and ask that all parents with a child enrolled for 2026 attend this evening. Enrolment packs will be available at the completion of the night for parents to collect.

We ask that children DO NOT attend this event, alternatively stay tuned for details about our upcoming “Come and play” sessions in November which is for 2026 children to attend and meet their teachers, educators and fellow class mates.

This morning the Possum Pre-Kindergarten children were incredibly lucky to have one of our Kinder Dads Shay Terrick (and his beautiful family) visit us and conduct a smoking ceremony in the lead up to NAIDOC Week which begins on Sunday 6th July. He also brought in some artefacts significant to his people and culture for us to look at. Thank you so much Shay we really appreciated you coming by to share this with us.
