Our dedicated CHSP Coordinator, Johanna Ramirez, along with Care Partner Preetham Krishnappa, attended the Aged & Disability Expo Gold Coast at the SeaWorld Events Centre. This event provided a valuable opportunity to expand networks, learn about new services and supports, and enhance the quality of care for our participants.

The expo brings together industry experts, service providers, and community groups to discuss the latest trends, innovations, and opportunities in aged care, reinforcing our dedication to seniors’ wellbeing and advocacy.

🎂 Happy 96th birthday to our lovely Katarina! 🎂

We were so happy to celebrate with our participants the life of a wonderful and gorgeous woman. Katarina’s kindness, warm smile and beautiful outfits brighten our Wellness Centre every Thursday, and we feel so grateful for the precious moments we share with her each week.

Seeing the love surrounding her on her birthday was lovely. Celebrations like these are so meaningful because they give our seniors the chance to honour one another and reflect the strong, caring community we’ve built together.

We’re always proud to celebrate the inspiring stories of people who make up our team. During his recent holiday in Japan, our Senior Care Worker Tam took part in the traditional Kendo Masters competition while also spending precious time caring for his 89-year-old mother.

In a deeply meaningful moment, Tam’s mother was there to watch him compete, accompanied by his sister, as he achieved a decisive victory in front of her. It was a special experience that reflected not only his dedication to Kendo, but also the strength, discipline and commitment he brings to everything he does.

Kendo is a Japanese martial art that combines physical training with mental discipline. Tam shared that the match was decided within just 90 seconds, a moment made possible by years of training and perseverance.

We are so proud of Tam for this incredible achievement and for sharing a personal and memorable moment with us. Stories like his remind us of the care, resilience and passion our team brings both in and outside of their roles.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Vasiliki's 99th birthday with our seniors at the Wellness Centre. It was lovely to see the joy, love, and connection on such a special day.

We are grateful to share beautiful moments in a vibrant, multicultural community where everyone feels welcome, and friendships become family.

Our Dietetic service provides the nutrition care you need to live independently at home. With the support of our Accredited Practising Dietitian, Dr Fatemeh Haidari (PhD, APD), we will collaborate with you to follow your cultural traditions and preferences while designing a well-balanced diet. You can access personalised services tailored to your specific needs, including:

☑️ Meal plans tailored to your culture and preferences
☑️ Support to access prepared meal services
☑️ Tips to boost energy, strength and immunity
☑️ Easy guidance for cooking, shopping and food choices
☑️ Small group nutrition sessions at our Wellness Centre and more

How to Get Started?
🟠 If you are a participant in the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), please contact My Aged Care to request a referral code for dietitian services. You can ask for this code to be sent directly to Cura Aged Care.
🟠 If you are part of the Support at Home program, speak with your Care Partner to include dietitian services in your Support at Home plan.
🟠 If you have an external provider, discuss with your Care Partner about contacting us so that we can provide the service.

Today, we celebrated Mother’s Day at our Wellness Centre with a beautiful morning of music, connection and joy.

Our seniors enjoyed a wonderful live singer, and it wasn’t long before the smiling faces and clapping hands filled the lovely atmosphere, and people were up on their feet dancing together.

From beloved classics in English to sing-alongs in Spanish, it was lovely to see everyone joining in, sharing memories, laughter, and celebrating mothers.
