One of the many things we do as firies, is hydrant be checks.
We aim to check all the hydrants in our station area, ensuring they’re clearly marked, clear of any debris, & can be easily accessed in case of an emergency.

Gotta keep them clear!

If you see us out & about, feel free to give us a wave! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

Good morning to our wonderful Arncliffe Community!

Let’s talk Smoke Alarms!
As we turn our clocks forward this weekend, please remember to CHANGE YOUR SMOKE ALARM BATTERY!
FRNSW run a program called Home Fire Safety Checks. That allows us, & you to do a quick safety check on your home, & provide any safety information you need. This includes smoke alarms.

Happy long weekend Arncliffe! & as always, stay safe!

Avoid a nasty burn or scald and always turn your pot handles inwards. Pot handles turned outwards are the perfect height for running into and being grabbed by children.

June is National Burns Awareness Month. Last year in NSW more than 3000 people suffered burns injuries with almost 50% of these caused by scalds.

For more information on National Burns Awareness Month, head over to Kidsafe Australia.

Absolutely devastating. Our thoughts are with all involved at this very difficult time.

Change your clocks, check your smoke alarms | Many smoke alarms installed before or in the couple of years since 2010 are now starting to reach the end of their life span and will need to be replaced if they are out of date.
Don’t risk it, test it. Working smoke alarms help save lives.

When carpet ripples like this, you know it can’t be good! There was that much water throughout this unit, 2 water vacs were required for mop up.

PSA: don’t cover drains in any wet areas!

During a deployment to the township of Eden, strike teams were sent to fight & protect the areas surrounding & including Eden Woodchip Mill.
Whilst there, the crews met with MP Andrew Constance, Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons & Fire & Rescue NSW Commissioner Paul Baxter. During their time they visited many townships devastated by the fires.

OUR OPERATORS ARE GETTING SMOKED: Where there’s smoke, there’s fire... But the smoke from this fire is far away and being attended to, so please only call triple zero (000) if you see a fire that is unattended.
