Our community is a step closer to receiving new key health worker accommodation with a site close to Armidale Hospital, at Rusden House - 200m walk to the hospital - selected for new housing, as part of the Minns Labor Government’s $200.1 million program.

Construction of the new Armidale accommodation will begin following the appointment of a main works contractor.

Today is international library lovers day - a day to appreciate our local library, the library staff, and users of the library.

Yesterday we were told that the Armidale Airport will be closed until the 15 February.

A number of people have reached out and wanted to know what will be happening with patients who have visiting specialists' appointments.

We have been told:
- there is minimal impact on hospital staffing and operations
- affected patients have been contacted, and telehealth appointments are being scheduled

Hospital should continue to operate as normal.
