Operation Regal will run for four days over the King’s Birthday long weekend – Friday 5 June to Monday 8 June 2026

👉 Police will be highly visible and enforcing across the state to reduce road trauma and positively influence road user behaviour
👉 Police will be targeting speeding, impaired drivers, distraction, fatigue and seatbelts and unauthorised driving – all major contributors to road trauma.
👉 Police will be out targeting impaired drivers – you should expect to be tested for drugs and alcohol anywhere, anytime

This afternoon, Ararat Police were on High Street, Ararat conducting drug and alcohol testing. After conducting over 100 tests, we're very happy to report that no offences were detected. 😀

We’re anticipating high volumes of traffic over this period so allow plenty of travel time, take regular breaks and most importantly, be patient and courteous to other road users.
