Huge thanks to Anglesea Golf Club for their incredible support, raising over $2,000 from their International Women’s Day event to support Anglesea CFA 👏

These funds have helped us purchase iPads for the brigade, improving how we manage vehicle inventory, pre-incident plans, and equipment—making our response more efficient and helping us make better use of our volunteers’ time.

A big thank you also to WOLF Telstra Partner Torquay, and to Shae and the team, for supplying the tablets, cases, and charging docks—supporting both our brigade and a local business at the same time.

We’re grateful for the ongoing support from our community—it truly makes a difference 🚒

WORKING TOGETHER FOR COMMUNITY SAFETY 🤝

Anglesea CFA would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMV) crews across Anglesea and the Surf Coast on Wadawurrung Country.

Through fuel reduction burns and ongoing land management, FFMV play a vital role in protecting our community year‑round. Our members recently had the opportunity to work alongside their crews, giving our newer recruits valuable insight into fire behaviour in our local environment.

Thank you to the FFMV crews from across the state who supported these works. Your dedication, teamwork, and professionalism are truly appreciated.
🚒🤝🌿

âš REMINDER BIKE RIDERS - WALKERS - HIKERS - RUNNERS - PLEASE DO NOT ENTER CLOSED TRACKS BELOW

‼️Planned burning is underway today and over the next 5 days at Eumeralla - Hurst Road and all MTB trails are closed for public safety. Burns also continue Anglesea - Odonohue road and Anglesea - Messmate track.
You may see crews, heavy machinery and helicopters operating in the area.

After the burn, hazards like fire-affected vegetation and unsafe trees will need to be assessed and made safe before trails can reopen.

⚠️ Please do not enter closed trails as it puts both you and emergency crews at risk. Compliance officers will be patrolling.

Forest Fire Management Victoria will advise when the MTB Trail network is safe to reopen. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Without planned burning and other fuel management works, bushfires will be bigger and harder for our firefighters to control.
🔥You may see or smell smoke.
đź‘€Watch for our crews and follow their directions.
📞If you experience symptoms that may be due to smoke exposure, please seek medical advice or call NURSE-ON-CALL on 1300 60 60 24.
ℹ️Detailed information about current air quality throughout Victoria can be found at www.epa.vic.gov.au

Unexpected weather conditions can mean plans change at the last minute and a burn may not go ahead, even if communities have already been notified. When this happens, our crews will continue to monitor the conditions and re-schedule the burn for a later date.
