Our 5/6 campers are having an amazing time!
They are all loving the activities and giving everything a go, even when it looks a little scary!
Our staff are very proud of everyone for showing our school values and being supportive of each other.

That’s a wrap on another wonderful term!

A reminder that we have an early finish today at 2:15pm.

This Friday, we’re ditching the uniforms and adding a little colour to our school day! 💙💛

We are asking our AMPS community to bring along a gold coin donation to support the Evie Gamble Foundation.

Evie was a much-loved member of our AMPS family. Sadly, Evie’s life was cut short by sepsis.

Her memory continues to inspire us, and together we can help keep her voice alive by raising awareness of sepsis and working towards a future where no family has to experience the devastating impact of this illness.

Let’s raise awareness. Let’s make a difference. Let’s end sepsis for Evie.

🏊‍♀️ SWIMMING STARTS TOMORROW! 🏊‍♂️

A reminder to our Prep–2 families that our swimming program begins tomorrow at Paddles Swim School!

We’re so excited for a fun week of swimming, learning and building those water confidence skills!

☀️ SUNSMART REMINDER ☀️

A friendly reminder to all students and families that we are now in a SunSmart term!

Please remember to wear your school SunSmart hat each day when participating in outdoor activities and during recess and lunch play. Students will need their school hat for travel to and from swimming as well!

Let’s stay SunSmart and safe in the sun! 💙💛

Today, we celebrate and recognise all the special father figures in our lives:

💙 The wonderful dads who have been there through it all
💛 The new dads experiencing the magic for the first time
💙 The stepdads, foster dads and bonus dads who love unconditionally
💛 The single dads doing an incredible job, day in and day out
💙 The dads who are missing children they have lost — we hold you in our hearts
💛 The men who dream of one day becoming dads
💙 The grandads, uncles, brothers and mentors who help shape little lives
💛 And the incredible women who lovingly play both mum and dad

Whatever your journey looks like, today we celebrate you and the love, care and guidance you give.

P.S. Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday 7th September, is a Curriculum Day for all staff, so there will be no classes for students. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday 8th September! 💙💛

Today, a small group of our 5/6 students proudly represented Altona Meadows Primary School at the Love Your Locals Showcase, held at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

The showcase, supported by Hobsons Bay City Council, focused on sustainability and conservation and exploring ways we can help protect animals that are currently at risk due to declining populations. 🌱🐾

Our students did a fantastic job presenting their project and confidently answering questions from the audience. We are so proud of the way they shared their ideas and represented our school! 👏🏼💚

A huge well done to Imogen, Ezra, Khalid, Liam, Isaac, Amenah, Ana, Yasmin, Samayra, Rose & Rosie! 🌟

What an amazing opportunity to learn, share and make a difference in our local community! 🌏💚 💛💙

🇮🇹Midweek Mangia🇮🇹

Our Kitchen Garden program took us on a delicious Italian adventure! 👩‍🍳

We cooked up rosemary, yoghurt & lemon muffins, garlic bread, pasta broccoli, spinach & ricotta gnocchi and a fresh Italian lettuce salad using our very own home-grown lettuce and broccoli! 🥦🥬🌱

From garden to table, our little chefs are learning that growing food, cooking together and trying new flavours can be so much fun! 🇮🇹 💙💛

There’s something pretty special about seeing our Kitchen Garden come to life! 🪏👩🏻‍🌾

With spring officially arriving tomorrow, our veggies are popping up, the garden is looking greener by the day, and our feathered friends are looking very happy too 🐔Bring on spring time at AMPS! 💙💛
