While we have all enjoyed the rain over the last week or so, it has significantly impacted local roads. We understand people are frustrated that their mail has not been delivered on the mail runs; believe us, we share those frustrations!
The fact remains that until the roads are reopened, we are legally prohibited from using them, by both Australia Post and our local police. โLocal traffic onlyโ applies to residents of that specific road, not to those living in the surrounding area.
As soon as the roads open up, we will re-commence mail runs, and attempt to deliver out to every property if we think we can access it. If you would prefer us not to attempt to deliver to you just yet, ring us at Alpha LPO on 4985 1147 to let us know to hold off.
Please keep in mind that this decision is not made lightly, but we are required to follow the law. Furthermore, while we understand the disappointment, it is simply unacceptable to be rude and abusive to our team members, and will not be tolerated. Thank you to everyone who has shown patience and understanding, we appreciate you and we look forward to being back on the road as soon as possible!
