Everyone Belonged this Big Day Out in Harmony ✨

On Saturday 30 May, Mparntwe/Alice Springs came together in a vibrant celebration of connection, culture, and community 🧡

Presented in partnership by Multicultural Community Services of Central Australia and Council, the 27th Big Day Out in Harmony brought our diverse community together for an unforgettable afternoon on the Council Lawns 🌈

🎶 233 performers lit up the stage with music, dance, and pride, including a stunning performance from ARIA-nominated Persian jazz singer, Tara Tiba

🌍 With 21 lively free stalls and activities offered by our local community groups
🍜 A delicious journey around the world, with flavours ranging sweet to spicy and everything in between!

From the performances to the food, the fashion and creativity, it truly was a BIG day of harmony for our community. Thank you to everyone who behind the scenes, our performers, stallholders and those that joined us 💛

The Tatts Finke Desert Race Night Markets were absolutely packed, and these photos prove it.

From Airtime FMX sending it sky-high, to the food, entertainment and thousands of people filling the CBD, it was one of those nights that felt uniquely Alice.

Big thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such an incredible way to celebrate the 50th running of Finke.

Tag your mates, spot yourself in the photos and relive a pretty special night 🏁🤘

Meet Frog- our beautiful shy boy looking for his furever home 🥰

Frog came into the shelter at a young age, and he's a shy boy who needs a confident leader to show him the ropes. He likes toys and will chase a ball once he’s comfortable. He would be best suited to a house without children or older children who won’t overwhelm him.

Come meet Frog this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday!

🎨 Another fantastic student artwork has joined the growing collection of woven fence panels brightening Todd Mall!

This beautiful piece was created by the Year 5/6 Reef Class at Living Waters Primary School and draws inspiration from the majestic MacDonnell Ranges and the flowing Todd River. Through colour, texture and pattern, the students have captured the beauty and movement of our local landscape, celebrating the connection between people, place and nature.

The artwork is especially meaningful following this year's abundant rainfall and pays tribute to the iconic ranges that shape our region.

Next time you're in Todd Mall, take a moment to stop by and admire this impressive community artwork, along with the many other student-created pieces helping bring colour, creativity and local pride to the precinct during the transformation works.

👏 Well done to the students and teachers at Living Waters Primary School!

We're still not sure if last night was real or a fever dream, but either way we know it was SICK 🔥🔥

Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at the Tatts Finke Desert Race Night Markets. You all turned up and then some. What a perfect way to kick off the Finke weekend and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the famous race.
