Get ahead of the season by:
🧹 Cleaning your gutters, downpipes and drains.
✂️ Trimming back trees and branches around your property.
🎒 Getting your emergency kit ready.
🪢 Having materials handy to tie down loose outdoor items if it gets windy.
📱 Updating your VicEmergency app to the latest version and setting up a watch zone.

After more than a decade of supporting our community, tonight we celebrated one of our most popular members, Neil.
Neil joined our Unit as a new member of the community and a refugee, and through his incredible personal journey, persistence and willingness to learn and share, he has become an invaluable part of our Unit.
Over the years, Neil has not only given so much to the community, but has also helped shape our Unit into the amazing place it is today.
It’s not goodbye, but simply see you around, as Neil embarks on his next chapter while continuing his SES journey.
Thank you for everything you’ve given to Ballarat SES, Neil. You’ll always be part of our Unit family. 🧡

Our volunteers have been busy today and into this evening, responding to a number of calls for assistance from across the region.
A big thank you to the community members who have alerted our crews to trees down across the road network. Your reports help us identify hazards and keep our community safe.
🚨 Remember, if you see flashing lights, please slow down, take care and give our crews plenty of room to work as we clear hazards from the roads.
