Big Picture Students Shine at Social Enterprise Market Day!

On Wednesday 21st October, 45 of our Big Picture students travelled to the historic Old Beechworth Gaol to take part in the 10th Annual Social Enterprise Schools Market Day!

Funded and supported by ACRE (Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship), the event was more than buying and selling products. It was a celebration of youth entrepreneurship, social purpose and community spirit!

We are incredibly proud of our students, who all achieved sales and made a profit on the day!

Now comes the exciting part, students will get to give back to local and national charities who will receive their profits which will allow them to make a real difference in the community and beyond.

A fantastic opportunity for our students to develop their entrepreneurial skills, work together and discover the power of making a positive impact!

Well done to all 45 students for their hard work, creativity and commitment to giving back!

Our Year 7 and 8 students participated in the nbn Future Ready Regions VR Roadshow!

Students used Virtual Reality (VR) to explore Australia's OPAL nuclear reactor and the Australian Synchrotron, brought the periodic table to life using Augmented Reality (AR), and used hand-tracking technology to interact with digital images.

A fantastic opportunity to explore cutting-edge science and technology beyond the classroom!

NEXT LEVEL: ASPIRATIONAL ATHLETES PROGRAM - 2027 EOI NOW OPEN!

Are you a student at James Fallon High School with a passion for sport and a desire to take your performance to the next level?

Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2027 Next Level: Aspirational Athletes Program are now open!

The program runs throughout the school year and aims to extend, challenge and support students who demonstrate exceptional ability, dedication and aspiration in their chosen sport.

Through specialist training, skill development, and opportunities to learn what it takes to perform at a high level, Next Level helps aspiring athletes develop their potential on and off the field.

Introducing Our 2027 School Leadership Team!

Leadership is not simply about holding a title. It is about inspiring others, leading by example, embracing challenges and making a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

James Fallon High School is incredibly proud to congratulate our newly elected 2027 Student Leadership Team!

We are delighted to announce our School Captains and Vice Captains for 2027, pictured from left to right:

Payton Wilesmith – Vice Captain
Breanna Phillips – Captain
Isaiah Strickland – Captain
Onyx Cook – Vice Captain

Being elected to these positions is a wonderful achievement and reflects the trust and confidence placed in these students by our school community.

As they prepare to lead our school in 2027, we encourage them to embrace every opportunity, champion student voice, support their peers and continue to demonstrate our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Achievement.

We look forward to watching these four outstanding young people grow as leaders, create meaningful opportunities and leave a positive and lasting legacy at James Fallon High School.

Attention all future Year 7 Students 2027!

Orientation Days will be held on:
Wednesday 28 October 2026: 9:30am-2:30pm (Entry and exit through Glenly Street Gate)
Tuesday 1st December 2026: 9:15am-3:15pm (Entry through Fallon Street Gate and pick-up through Glenly Street Gate)

Throughout the Orientation Days, students will have the opportunity to meet other students and staff, participate in lessons and activities, explore the school, become familiar with their timetable and experience some of the routines of a typical day at James Fallon High School.

What students should bring:

Notebook
Lunch
Recess
Water bottle

Big Picture Students Head to Beechworth for Social Enterprise Market Day

On Wednesday, 21st October, our Big Picture students will travel to the Old Beechworth Goal to take part in the Social Enterprise Schools Market Day. This exciting event provides students with the opportunity to showcase and sell a variety of handmade products, including candles, jewellery, lolly bags, pencil toppers, crochet items, fishing lures, bookmarks, and more.

All profits from the sales will be donated to local charities that are meaningful to our students, allowing them to make a positive impact in the community while developing valuable entrepreneurial skills.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club of Albury for their very generous donation. Their support has played a significant role in helping our students’ enterprises come together and thrive.

We wish our students the best of luck and look forward to hearing about their success!
