Over the weekend we were proud to be formally handed our new rescue appliance. This truck will boost our capability and capacity to respond to incidents across the region.

We also took the opportunity to formally recognise one of our members Peter Adams, who has served the squad for 60 years. This is an amazing achievement and Pete continues to serve the squad.

Big thank you to VRA Rescue NSW Commissioner, Brenton Charlton and Jihad Dib MP for providing the funding for this vehicle.

We’re out this morning collecting for the Good Friday Appeal and have only just gotten started.
If the sirens woke you up… we’re not sorry. It’s for a great cause.
If you see our volunteers on the roads, please slow down, be patient, and keep an eye out for our walkers.
Come say g’day and support a great cause 👏

Get ready… you’ll be hearing sirens right across the region tomorrow morning.

It’s all for an incredible cause Good Friday Appeal.

So have your donations ready to help fill the tubs…
(or grab your ear plugs 😄)

Every dollar makes a difference 💚💜

Albury… get ready! The Good Friday Appeal 2026 is just around the corner!
Yes, we’ll be waking you up with the sirens again, but it’s all for a truly amazing cause.
The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne does incredible work and supports so many families. This is our chance to give back.
So kids (and big kids!) grab your spare change, get those high-fives ready, and say g'day to Albury & Border Rescue Squad volunteers as they make their way around South Albury.
Every little bit counts, let’s make it a big one! 💚💜

The Mitta Mitta Canoe Club Frank Harrison Memorial Race is underway again today, running from the Weir Wall to Noreuil. Our volunteers are out on the water providing a safety crew to help keep competitors safe.

Throughout the year, we support a wide range of community events just like this, and we’re always looking for new volunteers to get involved.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering and giving back to your community, now is the perfect time. Not everything we do involves front-line emergency response, there are plenty of ways to contribute and make a real difference.

Our volunteers are on the water today supporting the Mitta Mitta Canoe Club race from the weir wall to Noreuil. If you see the Kayaks or our crew give them a wave!

We’d like to take a moment to thank our amazing community for your ongoing support.

Our volunteers have been extremely busy over the summer period, responding to incidents and supporting the community whenever help is needed. The small acts of generosity from local businesses and residents make a big difference and help keep our volunteers ready to respond.

A special thank you to Gasweld Tools and The Wash Point, Thurgoona for their recent support of the squad. We truly appreciate businesses that stand behind their local rescue volunteers.

As a volunteer-based service, we’re always looking for people in the community who want to give back. If this is something you've always considered and want to be part of a dedicated local team, now is the perfect time!

And if you’d like to support our work but can’t volunteer, you can help keep our rescue capability strong by signing up to our $10 per month community supporter program. Every small contribution goes directly towards equipment, training, and keeping our vehicles on the road and any donation over $2 is tax deductible.
