Peronne in Albany for Anzac Day 2019!
From April 18 to November 11, 2019, the Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum is hosting the exhibition "1918, we were Australian in Péronne", created by the French Alfred-Danicourt Municipal Museum in September 2018.
Inaugurated yesterday by the Municipality of Albany (Western Australia) and Mayor Dennis Wellington, the bilingual Peronese exhibition has traveled to the other side of the world to show the gratitude that the city of Péronne owes to fighters from Australia between 1914 and 1918.
This loan from the exhibition in Australia was a commitment made by the Mayor of Péronne during the Centenary ceremonies in September 2018. And many thanks to the City of Albany for choosing a French chef, Xavier Poupel who lived in Albany, to organize the morning tea ;) !
