Midway Road Community House and Australian Refugee Association are coming together to offer FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) classes across two convenient locations in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Our classes help people from all backgrounds build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding everyday English.
Learning in a group or at your own pace in a friendly community setting every Monday at both locations.

خانه اجتماعی جاده میدوی (Midway Road Community House) و انجمن پناهندگان استرالیا (Australian Refugee Association) با همکاری یکدیگر صنف‌های رایگان آموزش زبان انگلیسی به عنوان زبان دوم (ESL) را در دو مکان مناسب، در محیطی امن، دوستانه و حمایتی ارائه می‌کنند.

صنف‌های ما به افراد از هر پیشینه‌ای کمک می‌کند تا در صحبت کردن، خواندن، نوشتن و درک زبان انگلیسی روزمره اعتماد به نفس بیشتری پیدا کنند.
یادگیری به صورت گروهی یا با سرعت دلخواه خودتان، در یک محیط دوستانه و اجتماعی، هر دوشنبه در هر دو مکان برگزار می‌شود.

Midway Road Community House is currently inviting expressions of interest from people who would like to join our Committee of Management. This is a rewarding opportunity to play an active role in shaping the direction, sustainability, and impact of a valued local organisation.

As a committee member, you’ll work collaboratively with others to provide guidance, support decision-making, and help ensure the community house continues to thrive and respond to local needs. You don’t need previous board or governance experience - just a genuine interest in your community, a willingness to contribute, and the ability to work as part of a team. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds, with a range of skills, perspectives, and life experiences.

Whether you bring experience in administration, finance, community development, marketing, or simply a passion for making a difference, your contribution will be valued.
This is a voluntary role and typically involves attending regular meetings and contributing to planning and discussions. It’s also a great opportunity to build new skills, connect with others, and be part of something positive in your local area.

We held our Biggest Morning Tea today and raised $235 to help fight cancer.

Thank you to everyone who attended and enjoyed laughs, games and food and for Mayor Glenn Docherty for popping in.
