What an incredible day at Reconciliation in the West 2026 🖤💛❤️

It was wonderful to see the community come together once again to celebrate First Nations culture, connection, and reconciliation through inspiring music, performances, storytelling, activities, and a good yarn.

From start to finish, the day was filled with energy, learning, and meaningful moments that reminded us of the importance of walking together and continuing the journey toward reconciliation.

We are so proud to stand alongside our partner organisations Tauondi Aboriginal College, Life Without Barriers, and Uniting SA in delivering this special annual event, and we thank everyone who attended, participated, performed, volunteered, and helped make the day such a success.

Together, we continue to strengthen connections, listen, learn, and create a more inclusive future for all.

This morning, we were proud to attend the 2026 National Reconciliation Week Breakfast, hosted by Reconciliation South Australia on Kaurna Yerta at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

As National Reconciliation Week begins, we join with others across the state in reflecting on this year’s theme: “All In” - a reminder that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility.

We really valued hearing from the speakers, experiencing the performances, and celebrating First Nations cultures, voices, and businesses alongside the wider community.

Thank you to Reconciliation South Australia for hosting such a meaningful and impactful event once again.

Today, we acknowledge National Sorry Day and honour the strength, resilience, and courage of Stolen Generations survivors, their families, and communities.

National Sorry Day is a time to reflect on the lasting impacts of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities, and culture - and to acknowledge that this pain and trauma continues across generations.

Sorry means remembering the past, and committing to a better future.

As we reflect, we also recognise the importance of listening, learning, truth-telling, and continuing the journey toward healing and reconciliation together.

Our Residential Aged Care homes came together last week to celebrate and recognise the amazing volunteers who bring so much joy, care, and support each day 💙

We celebrated our incredible volunteers (both human and furry 🐶) at morning teas and lunches across our services, sharing certificates, thank you gifts, and plenty of appreciation along the way.

To every volunteer who supports AnglicareSA - thank you for the compassion, kindness, and commitment you bring to our community each day 💙

Our Elizabeth East residents have been busy creating something very special 💙🧸

From their knitting needles to the hands of those who need comfort most, these beautiful trauma bears are lovingly handmade and donated to charity to support children and individuals experiencing difficult or traumatic situations.

Residents knit in their own time and come together weekly to stitch, chat, reminisce, and share plenty of laughs along the way 🧶

It’s been a wonderful way to build friendships, stay connected, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others - one bear at a time 🐻

It was game on at the South Adelaide Football Club for our Supported Community Living housemates Amy, Chris, Veronica, and Michael recently as they took to the field for a day of Walking Footy 🏈

As part of a collaboration between the SANFL and ECH Inc, the inclusive experience is open to all community members with Walking Footy structured as a modified, low-impact version of Australian Rules Football.

It is designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive, with no running, tackling, or prior experience required 😊

It is also a fantastic way for residents in the southern region to stay active while enjoying the team environment of a footy club!
