A while back I had the pleasure of solemnising the marriage of Emma and Branden. Emma introduced me to a wonderful Greek legend which I would like to share:
It is said that in the beginning of time, when humans were first created, they had a form different to that they have today. They had four arms, four legs and a single head made of two faces. The Gods were jealous and fearful of how powerful humans were in this form, so Zeus, in his wisdom, split humans in two into the form we see today. From that day forth, humans longed to find their other physical half, their soulmate.
And according to this myth, when these two halves find each other, there will be a silent understanding of one another, they will feel joined and exist with each other in unison and will know no greater joy than that.
